Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Delivery Helper at Tamarack Materials, Inc. in St. Joseph, MN to load, locate job sites, back up, prepare and restore the site, and prep the truck for the next day while maintaining equipment.

You will comply with OSHA and DOT guidelines, perform pre-trip inspections, unload safely, secure loads, and navigate routes to job sites; physical work includes lifting up to 100 lbs and standing most of the shift.

Position Summary

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, backing, preparing and restoring the job site, and preparing the truck for the following day and maintaining the truck and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Compliance of company, state and federal guidelines particularly as it relates to OSHA and DOT for the safety of all personnel.
• Perform pre‑trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order.
• Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallet on truck.
• Navigate routes to the job site.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately; stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. to carry materials such as drywall and joint compound.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time.
• Constantly move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto the job site.
• Constantly position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. while unloading and loading flatbed.
• Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Constantly work in an outside environment while making deliveries.

Compensation

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $19.00 to $20.91 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Associates may also be eligible for performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, a car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
