Job summary

Gypsum Management and Supply is seeking a delivery driver to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently while delivering building materials to commercial and residential sites. You will load, unload, and deliver freight, ensuring undamaged delivery and excellent customer service.

The role requires a CDL (Class B minimum; Class A preferred), a clean MVR, and knowledge of DOT regulations. You will work both independently and as part of a team, prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid CDL; Class B required, Class A strongly preferred.
  • Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Solid knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
  • Safely load building materials onto flatbed/boom truck and unload at sites.
  • Deliver materials to assigned areas, prioritizing safety.
  • Maintain compliance records per state and federal regulations.
  • Report any accidents and manage heavy lifting (up to 100+ lbs) with safety and customer service.

Job description

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations and deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load and unload materials while providing a world class customer service experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation. Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites. Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment. Have stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload. Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
  • Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical Requirements
  • Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
  • Lifting heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
  • Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed and operate commercial vehicle and/or boom vehicle.
  • Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
  • Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information.
  • Work outside while making deliveries.
