Job summary

Butler University is seeking a Defensive Assistant to strengthen defensive preparation by managing video workflows, analyzing opponent film, and contributing to weekly game planning. This role provides hands-on coaching support during practice and executes strategic duties during games, serving as the assistant to the defensive coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Head Coach with all aspects of the football program.
  • Support coaches during practice and perform game day responsibilities.
  • Assist Video Coordinator with filming, uploading, and organizing practice and game footage.
  • Complete opponent film breakdowns and maintain video databases.
  • Assist defensive staff with opponent scouting and game planning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the coaching staff.
