Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to create and maintain user documentation for complex hardware and software systems. You will partner with engineers, operations, and product teams to document workflows, procedures, and release notes with clarity and consistency.

The role requires translating technical concepts into accessible guides, building content in formats like Word, XML and DITA, and ensuring on-time deliverables, with eligibility to obtain

Qualifications

• 4+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation for complex hardware, software, or aerospace systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation (schematics, CAD, or software specs).
• Experience building content in Word, XML, DITA, etc.
• Strong written/verbal communication and ability to explain technical subjects simply.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
• Ability to relocate to onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and edit documentation that is user-focused for hardware, software, or aerospace systems.
• Evaluate and prioritize tasks to support product documentation efforts and keep them on track.
• Communicate and manage expectations; note risks with leadership.
• Contribute to living documentation processes to transfer knowledge across teams.
