Job summary

General Infomatics, Inc. (GI) invites driven students to join the TRMCi Paid Intern Program for Summer 2027. Interns will work on research, engineering, cybersecurity, and technical roles at DoW MRTFB sites, with mentorship and hands-on defense projects.

Compensation is $20/hour with a 10-week, full-time commitment. Placement may be at MRTFB locations or affiliated sites; per diem, lodging, and travel support may be provided based on location and eligibility. Applicants must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Department of War Secret security clearance, which requires a background investigation.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be available to participate full-time for the entire 10-week internship period (June 7–August 13, 2027).
• Participation in TRMCi may be subject to eligibility restrictions tied to other federally funded programs.
• Applicants should disclose if they have applied to or are participating in other federally funded opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support research, engineering, cybersecurity, and technical projects at an assigned DoW test and evaluation location.
• Apply STEM or technical coursework to real-world defense challenges in test and evaluation.
• Conduct data analysis, modeling, software development, prototyping, range operations, or other technical activities depending on placement.
• Collaborate with mentors, engineers, technical professionals, and fellow interns to solve complex problems.
• Participate in required TRMCi program activities throughout the internship.
• Present technical findings and recommendations during program closeout.
