Job summary

George Consulting is seeking a Systems Administrator to support systems engineering for the TacMobile program. You will work with P-3 and P-8 interfaces and GCCS, ensuring secure Windows and Linux environments and IA compliance.

The role requires DoD secret clearance, strong knowledge of HBSS, VMware, RHEL, and networking concepts. You will collaborate with navy personnel and other contractors, documented testing, and travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• DoD IAT Level II certified in Security+ preferred
• Minimum three (3) years' experience with Windows operating systems (Server up to 2012)
• Minimum three (3) years' experience maintaining IA compliance of Windows OS
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies (vCenter, Server, Horizon, Motion) and ESXi environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Exchange, AD, Group Policy, WSUS, SQL)
• Familiarity with networking: DHCP, DNS, OSPF, VLANS, and Cisco
• HBSS, RHEL or Unix experience preferred
• Certifications in Windows OS desirable but not required
• PowerShell scripting desirable but not required
• Strong log analysis for troubleshooting
• Ability to apply standard configurations to project environments
• Proactive learning for project-specific tools

Responsibilities

• Support installation, configuration and testing of new software releases in classified and unclassified development and operational environments
• Develop, maintain, and test code; create and maintain compliant system builds
• Define, analyze, implement, secure, test, and deploy new network monitoring and security compliance requirements
• Maintain IA compliance of Windows operating systems
• Create OS and software baselines that are IA compliant
• Provide data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Provide guidance for ACAS and related tools; recommend best practices and scan configurations
• Develop test procedures; author and validate user documentation; train navy personnel
• Collaborate with contractor teammates and customers daily
• Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations and are timely
• Attend and participate in team meetings
• Travel up to ~25%
