Job summary

American Rheinmetall Munitions is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a cross-functional team in delivering lethal munition programs. The role requires on-site presence at Vienna, VA, Camden, AR, or Windham, ME three days per week and oversight of schedules, budgets, and compliance with FAR/DFARS.

The ideal candidate has a background in government contracting, defense manufacturing, and strong leadership with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, program management, business, operations, or related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant government contracts or defense manufacturing experience.
• 3 years coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Integrated Program Team (Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Security, Compliance)
• Own program schedule, cost, scope, deliverables, and performance
• Identify, mitigate, and track program risks
• Serve as primary point of contact for government representatives
• Lead program reviews, status briefings, and technical discussions
• Manage budgets, funding profiles, and financial forecasts
• Translate technical requirements into executable plans with engineering and production
• Support transitions across development, production, and sustainment phases
• Enforce configuration management and change control
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and contract terms; support DCMA/DCAA and customer audits
• Report program performance to leadership; maintain accurate program documentation
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process changes
