nLIGHT-DEFENSE Systems, Inc. in Longmont, CO is seeking a Buyer in Production Operations to manage procurement and cross-functional coordination with engineering and program managers. You will oversee orders, inventory, and supplier performance to meet internal demands.

Applicants should have 1-5 years in Purchasing/Supply Chain, a Bachelor’s degree, and ERP/MRP experience (AX a plus). DoD clearance preferred; curiosity about HEL tech is a plus.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Business Administration, Operations Management or equivalent experience.
• 1-5 years’ experience in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain; experience in a technical industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP environment; AX experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Execute and monitor purchase orders and maintain proactive communication with suppliers to monitor delivery, shipments, issues, and payments.
• Evaluate and maintain ERP for assigned items and ensure system validity and integrity.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve supplier performance across electrical, mechanical, optical and equipment commodities.
• Act as a conduit between suppliers and nLIGHT personnel to resolve delivery, quality and/or technical issues.
• Coordinate invoice discrepancy resolutions and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Generate and present KPIs for the supply chain organization.
