Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Defense Missions expert to guide teams on complex DoD projects, including modernization of air operations capabilities. You will lead efforts to analyze and evaluate systems, policies, and procedures to deliver mission-critical capabilities for the USAF and joint objectives.

The role requires prior military-level experience, TS/SCI clearance, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

We’re looking for anexpert like you to drive solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.As a Defense Missions expert, you’ll bring your subject matter expertise asyou lead a team on projects for the U.S. Air Force and other DoD organizations. You’ll lead efforts to modernize air operations capabilities. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, andwe’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, and procedures to accelerate delivery of key capabilities critical to USAF and joint mission objectives.You’ll oversee the work we do for the Department of Defense and the solutions we deliver for militarymissions, strategic planning, defense mission planning, and national defensestrategy.

You Have:

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a technical or engineering capacity
• Experience planning unit involvement in multiple medium- to large-scale exercises
• Experience as a U.S. military officer – O5 or above
• Experience with unit-level mission planning and complex threats
• Knowledge of current Air Force and Joint doctrines including agile combat employment and distributed C2 concepts
• Ability to lead innovation in multidisciplinary environments
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in a MAJCOM or above staff position
• Experience with HEMP and TEMPEST
• Experience with systems engineering
• Experience with product development or fleet management
• Professional Military Graduate or Service equivalent

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
