Castalia Systems is seeking a Senior Defense Industry Analyst to conduct all-source analytic production on foreign defense industrial programs, infrastructure, and capabilities supporting a country’s military forces across basic, strategic, and military industrial sectors.

You will produce strategic-level assessments and formal/informal briefings under tight deadlines for senior policymakers and defense stakeholders, using a deep understanding of all-source tradecraft and publication standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in all-source analysis, or 12+ years of experience in all-source analysis in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of IC and Combatant Command environments.
• Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings.

Job Summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Senior Defense Industry Analyst to use your specialized functional experience and your attention to detail to conduct all-source analytic production on foreign defense industrial programs, infrastructure, and capabilities supporting a foreign country’s ability to develop, equip, sustain, and employ its military forces across basic, strategic, and military industrial sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Provide intelligence production and briefing support to address dynamic intelligence requirements.


• Using your comprehensive understanding of all-source analytic tradecraft, production cycles, publication standards, community writing styles, and formats, you’ll produce strategic-level assessments and products that address the research, development, acquisition, test, evaluation and production of foreign weapon systems and equipment.


• As an authority on your topic, your client will look to you for comprehensive production, often under pressure.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in all-source analysis, or 12+ years of experience in all-source analysis in lieu of a degree.


• Knowledge of IC and Combatant Command environments.


• Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with defense industries analysis such as industrial organization, production processes, foreign weapon systems and equipment, and their associated facilities and output levels.


• Knowledge of ICD 203/206 analytic tradecraft standards.


• Knowledge of the INDOPACOM AOR


• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Salary at Castalia Systems is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, position knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000.00 to $135,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Castalia Systems’ total compensation package for employees.
