Job summary

SURVICE Engineering seeks a Computational Data Scientist to support Aberdeen Research Operation and accelerate defense-focused data work. You will join a multidisciplinary team applying data science, ML, and AI methods to complex scientific problems in a national security context.

Responsibilities include building models, processing diverse data, and presenting results in formal Gov formats. Requires advanced degree and relevant experience; U.S. citizenship may be required.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in computer science or math related field, plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and AI/ML models for data-driven decisions.
• Experience communicating results via reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out materials research and process modeling using data science methods and ML.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ARL scientists to improve efficiency and impact.
• Apply learning algorithms to high-dimensional or streaming data with limited labels.
• Prepare presentations and written documents in Government format.
