Job summary

Contract Professionals, Inc. seeks a Computer and Information Research Scientist for Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, to conduct advanced research and develop innovative hardware and software solutions supporting Department of Defense programs.

This role focuses on applying computer science to solve complex technical challenges, develop emerging technologies, and support major defense weapon systems initiatives. A DoD security clearance is required to work on sensitive government projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• In lieu of a degree, 14 years of related experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in computer and information science to develop innovative hardware and software solutions.
• Analyze complex technical problems and develop effective computing solutions.
• Apply theoretical knowledge and emerging technologies to support new applications and system capabilities.
• Design and evaluate computer hardware, software, and supporting technologies.
• Develop technical concepts, prototypes, and research solutions for defense applications.
• Assign and prioritize technical tasks to meet program objectives and schedules.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers, vendors, and government stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Support the development of advanced computing technologies for major weapon systems programs.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve system capabilities.
