Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer to own end-to-end development of complex FPGA modules within the Hardware Engineering team. You will define requirements, shape architecture, and drive designs from concept through production, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across software, hardware, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and Vivado toolset.
• Experience in Hardware-Software Integration and Validation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of complex FPGA modules.
• Design, verify, and implement FPGA architectures meeting performance targets.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams to define requirements.
• Lead the design architecture process and produce interface definitions.
• Troubleshoot complex programmable-logic issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training.
• Work with manufacturing to transition designs to production.
• Support proposal development and program documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and risk-assessment meetings.
