Job summary

AMSG is seeking an Access Control Security Technician to support the DCMA Headquarters security desk, serving as the primary contact for incoming/outgoing personnel, visitors, and inquiries. You will implement the facility's physical security program and support DoD security initiatives.

Responsibilities include access control, visitor logs, package screening, CCTV operations, and administrative PERSEC tasks while maintaining strict SOP compliance and professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience managing DoD or Federal project/programs.
• Clearance Required: Active or Interim Secret.
• Location: DCMA HQ, Fort Lee, Virginia.
• Start Date: 30 September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-style assistance at the DCMA Headquarters security desk with a strong focus on both security and proactive, friendly customer service.
• Maintain headquarters access control: verify identity and process access requests for employees, contractors, and visitors to the facility.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs and security rosters.
• Assist visitors with directions, contact sponsor offices, and escort visitors as needed, including assisting EMS personnel during emergencies.
• Operate package screening equipment.
• Operate the video surveillance system: log on, review recorded footage, adjust camera views/angles, and preserve and export footage as needed.
• Maintain overall situational awareness of the building to support physical security and force protection, reporting suspicious activity or vulnerabilities.
• Open and close secure rooms daily or upon request by validated government customers.
• Provide intermittent administrative support for Personnel Security (PERSEC) activities when not assisting customers or processing visitors, including: In- and out-processing, Visit Access Requests in DISS, ALEC/EPSF updates, Continuous Vetting questionnaires, foreign travel notifications, and SAAR validations.
• Assist the Counter-Insider Threat Program with preliminary inquiries and reports to the C-InT Program Manager.
• Monitor and maintain routine security-related correspondence per SOPs
