Job summary

Helsing is a defence AI company hiring a Safety Manager (System Safety) to lead the system-safety domain across our platforms in Europe. You will develop the System Safety Programme Plan (SSPP) and coordinate hazard identification, PHA, and risk assessment.

Ensure safety requirements trace to functions and align with regulations. You will drive weapon-specific safety activities, integrate safety demands into the lifecycle, and work with international teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading system-safety programmes and creating SSPP documents.
• Ability to conduct hazard identification, PHA and risk assessment for complex systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in defence or safety-critical contexts.
• Proficiency in German and English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the System Safety Programme Plan (SSPP).
• Coordinate hazard identification, PHA and risk assessment across the lifecycle.
• Define and govern system-level safety architecture with traceability to functions.
• Assess and mitigate weapon-specific safety requirements within the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards across system-wide deliverables.
