Job summary

Danos is seeking a Deepwater Production Operator A / Marine Systems Technician A to support offshore production processing and marine systems on a multi‑skilled senior level.

The role includes ballast control, weight and center‑of‑gravity calculations, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, with an initial 3‑office/2‑remote schedule and a later 28×28 international rotation before settling into 21×21 offshore rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Marine and Ballast Control experience required and certification preferred.
• 10–15 years of offshore experience as a Production Operator required.
• Strong working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Medically fit for offshore work; ENG1 or equivalent international offshore medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Participate in startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of production process and utility systems.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize process parameters within operating limits.
• Perform production sampling and act on sample results as required.
• Troubleshoot process issues to maximize sales quality and delivery volume.
• Operate safety systems, emergency shutdown systems, and Fire and Gas systems.
• Ensure accurate daily production reporting is completed in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Witness third‑party calibrations, when required, to verify meter factors and production volumes.
• Assist with export oil meter proving activities.
• Support ballast and fluid transfer operations and vessel stability.
• Maintain facility stability through weight shift and center‑of‑gravity calculations.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot ballast pumps/valves, seawater and bilge systems, deck and mooring equipment.
• Operate under PTW, participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Assist maintenance by applying/removing system isolations.
• Advise maintenance on hazards.
