Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking a Deepwater Mechanic to support offshore production facilities in the Gulf of Mexico region. The role requires hands-on maintenance, testing and calibration of critical equipment, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory paperwork.

You will troubleshoot rotating equipment, turbines, and generators, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure reliable operations on the platform.

Qualifications

• Offshore maintenance experience on production platforms.
• Experience with testing, calibration, and inspection of equipment.
• Knowledge of PTW systems and safety procedures.
• Hands-on experience with rotating equipment (pumps/ compressors).
• Familiarity with turbine maintenance and fault analysis is preferred.

Overview

The position of Deepwater Mechanic entails operating an offshore production facility according to customer specifications, conducting testing, calibration, maintenance, and inspections of equipment, and completing mandatory paperwork for both customers and governmental agencies. Additionally, responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment such as turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, and reciprocating equipment like pumps and compressors.

Responsibilities

• Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements
• Test, calibrate, maintain and inspect equipment
• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies
• Maintain and troubleshoot, turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3-6 years mechanic experience required with experience offshore on a production platform.
• Minimum one year experience on a Gulf of America offshore platform.
• SAP PM or other CMMS experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, engines)
• Turbine maintenance experience
• Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Experience with shaft alignment (laser alignment), vibration analysis and oil sampling preferred.
• Organization skills to maintain platform
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment
• Creating policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats
• Advanced Firefighting and lifeboatman certification are preferred.
