IMC Trading is seeking a Deep Learning Researcher to lead state-of-the-art AI research for quantitative trading. You will develop large-scale models, and apply foundation techniques to market state prediction, signal generation, and portfolio optimization.

The role emphasizes collaboration with traders and engineers, rigorous scientific thinking, and leadership in building a world-class DL capability across the firm.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in CS/ML or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of deep learning research experience.
• Expertise in transformers, representation learning, self-supervised learning, or generative models.
• Experience deploying large-scale models in distributed environments.
• Strong Python programming with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Ability to collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve deep learning models to enhance trading performance across assets.
• Research and prototype novel neural architectures and training methodologies.
• Curation of large-scale data and feature representations.
• Collaborate with quantitative teams to translate insights into scalable solutions.
• Stay at the forefront of AI research and share findings with the team.
