Job summary

IMC Trading in New York invites ambitious students to a 10-week Deep Learning Researcher internship. You'll work on real projects with a mentor, access large datasets and modern training infrastructure, and learn how research translates into practical results.

Applicants should be pursuing a PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s in a quantitative field, with experience in deep learning, Python, and at least one DL framework.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s in CS/ML or a quantitative field and graduating between Sep 2027 and Jul 2028.
• Experience applying deep learning techniques.
• Publications at ML venues or open-source contributions are a plus.
• Proficient in Python and at least one DL framework (PyTorch/JAX/TF).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Able to start in person on Jun 7, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Deep Learning Researchers on real projects to improve models with business impact.
• Explore representation learning, transformers, foundation models, generative AI, and reinforcement learning and other DL techniques.
• Develop your research skills with mentorship and guidance from a dedicated mentor and intern lead.
• Attend professional development sessions to plan your future at IMC and engage with the cohort.
• Attend events to network with current employees.
