Job summary

XPO is seeking a Team Driver to operate with an existing partner in a sleeper tractor for long-haul runs. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and teamwork across a network of facilities.

Drivers are paid weekly with mileage and hourly components, plus benefits including health insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) match. Expect a typical 5 days on, 2 days off schedule and no-touch freight.

Qualifications

• Must be part of an existing two-person team applying together.
• Able to partner with another driver in a sleeper tractor for extended runs.
• 26 years of age or older? (21+ is stated).
• Possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
• Possess a DOT Medical Certification or pass company DOT physical.
• Available for a five-day workweek away from home.
• Hazardous materials, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run loads between XPO facilities for pickup and drop off with fellow XPO employees.
• Navigate routes, maintain CMV safety, and comply with transportation regulations.
• Operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances during a typical 5-day work week away from home.
• Operate the vehicle safely within DOT regulations.
• Use all internal freight transportation tools and required systems.

What you’ll need to succeed as aTeam Driverat XPO Minimum qualifications:

• Be a member of an existing team. We are only recruiting existing teams, and both team members must apply to thisposition
• Able to partner with another driver in a sleeper tractor on extendedruns
• Be at least 21 years ofage
• Have a valid Class A commercial driver’slicense
• Have a working knowledge of vehicle safety and controlsystems
• Safe driving record and history
• Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOTphysical
• Available to work away from home in a five-day workweek
• Possess hazardous materials, tank vehicle and doubles/triplesendorsements

Preferred qualifications:

• Team driving or over-the-roadexperience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and team members
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong teamwork andcooperation

About theTeam Driverjob Pay, benefits and more:

• Weekly pay
• Mileage pay will be paid at the designated rate of $0.974 per mile, split between each driver ($0.487 per mile) for all tasks related to the completion of the load
• Hourly pay of $35.42 will be provided forenroute waiting times of more than an hour due to traffic,constructionor weather-related delays

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Run loads between XPO facilities for pickup and drop off and work with fellow XPOemployees

• Operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances in a typical 5-day work week away fromhome
• Operate the vehicle safely within DOTregulations
• Operate all internal freight transportation work tools and requiredsystems

TeamDriversarerequired to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.)
• Safely climb in/out of tractor cab/trailer
• Sit for extended periods in a trucktractor
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat andkneel
• Operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutivehours;in all types of weather, while safely transporting all freight types
• Properly operate a handheld device

Pursuant to U.S. Department of Labor requirements, the worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and record.
