Job summary

Good Samaritan in Albion, NE is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision. The role emphasizes administration of medications, documentation, confidentiality, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has an LPN license, completion of an accredited nursing program, and at least some supervised clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Maintains required competencies and certifications. Completes required CEU and competency training.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision.
• Administers medications or treatments as ordered and documents interactions and outcomes.
• Maintains confidentiality and collaborates with interdisciplinary care team.
• Counsels residents and family members on prevention and treatment plans.
