Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking CDL A drivers for dedicated routes to Fort Wayne GM plant with home daily schedules and no touch freight. This union position offers strong benefits through Teamsters Local 414 and steady, reliable runs.

The role requires a Class A CDL, 21+ years old, and a clean driving record with limited incidents in the past three years. A CDL training certificate is acceptable for new drivers. Strong time management is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL.
• 6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the last year preferred OR certificate of completion from a CDL truck driving school.
• Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Strong time management & communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
• Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times.

Home Daily | No Touch Freight | Union Position (Teamsters Local 414)

Universal is one of the largest truckload transporters in North America. We are a full-service transportation provider with an extensive fleet of dry van, flat-bed and specialized equipment, and with a comprehensive geographic footprint. We’re seeking reliable CDL A Drivers to run local, dedicated lanes to the Fort Wayne GM plant and back. This is a home-daily position with no touch freight, consistent schedules, and strong union benefits. We accept recent CDL A Graduates! (Must have a CDL Class A and a school certificate showing at least 120 hours completed.) We are a tier 1 supplier for General Motors – Ft. Wayne located directly across the street from the plant on the SW side of town.
