Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Driver, Dedicated Backhaul to support Alabama operations. You will drive tractor-trailer or straight trucks on local and over-the-road routes to pick up and deliver food and related products, ensuring on-time, safe, and accurate loading and unloading at customer locations and PFG warehouses.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, 1+ years of commercial driving experience, DOT Health Card, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required and MVR clean in past 3 years.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Must pass road test.
• Must Attain or secure DOT Health Card.
• Ability to lift 10–90 lbs and handle freight of varying size.

Responsibilities

• Drive to supplier/vendor and PFG warehouse locations per route and schedule.
• Deliver loads to PFG warehouses and ensure correct product is received.
• Perform load and paperwork inspections including counts and invoices.
• Complete required backhaul paperwork accurately.
• Communicate route, load, and schedule updates to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
