Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Driver, Dedicated Backhaul to move food and related products across local and long-haul routes. You will operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks in a safe, DOT-compliant manner, delivering on-time while representing the company with customers.

Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch, performing inspections, and completing paperwork accurately. A valid CDL-A, clean MVR, and post-offer checks are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires 1+ year commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• MVR clean for past 3 years.
• Post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.
• Able to lift 10–35 lbs and up to 60–90 lbs with equipment.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Pass road test.

Responsibilities

• Drive to assigned supplier/vendor and/or PFG warehouse locations per route and schedule, local or over-the-road.
• Deliver loads back to PFG warehouse locations for inventory receiving.
• Perform load and paperwork inspections (counts, invoices, quality checks).
• Complete required paperwork for backhaul operations accurately.
• Coordinate with supervisor about route, load, and schedule; report issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
