Job summary

CANPACK Group in the United States seeks aDecorator Machine Operator for night shift (7 PM–7 AM) to keep the decorator equipment running at peak efficiency within quality specs. This role focuses on operating, monitoring, and supporting maintenance of the decorator line in a fast-paced packaging manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include daily maintenance tasks, quality checks, basic repairs, and collaborating with the Decorator Specialist.

Qualifications

• Vocational education in mechanical/technical fields preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience as a mechanic in manufacturing setting preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Position SummaryEnsure decorator machine is operating at peak efficiency within quality specifications.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

Assist with operation of decorator equipment while maintaining quality standards. Perform daily maintenance plans and audits of machines/housekeeping according to maintenance plan. Perform and report technician-level repairs (basic technical repairs). Trouble shoot faulty equipment and assemblies. Assist Decorator Specialist with repair of defective parts. Perform routine quality checks at the appropriate stage of production. Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Vocational education a plus (Mechanical, Technical or similar). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus 1-3 years’ experience as a Mechanic in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred. Self-motivated with high attention to detail required. Problem solving skills. Ability to work independently or as a team. Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair preferred. Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environmental protection regulations.
