Job summary

Ferris State University is seeking a DEC Set Up Staff (Student Position) in Big Rapids, MI to assist with event space setup and maintenance at the David L Eisler Center. The role requires physical work, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and occasional night/weekend shifts.

You will work alongside student staff and full-time personnel to ensure events run smoothly. The position is classified as student employment in the Student Services department, with duties including cleaning and equipment

Summary of Position: Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Student Life, Set up Staff is responsible for event space cleanliness, maintenance, arrangement, and equipment of the David L Eisler Center. Set Up Staff must be able to work independently and work well with others to ensure students' and guests' needs are being met.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to take periodic nights and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs to shoulder level.
• Must be able to do other physical work including standing, lifting, stacking and moving equipment Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
