Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is hiring a Deburr Technician I in Wenatchee, WA. The role focuses on deburring different components, reading basic blueprints, and ensuring surface finishes meet specifications.

You will work with a team, follow safety rules, and progress toward Deburr Technician II while maintaining high quality and on-time output. Shifts: Mon-Thu 5:00am–3:30pm.

PacAero’s core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.


The Position:

Job Summary

Deburr Technician I is responsible for performing tasks on a variety of components and materials to ensure they meet required specifications for surface finish and edge breaks. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with team members, operators, and supervisors to identify and address part defect or handling issues. The technician must be able to read basic blueprints, use a wide range of deburring tools, and work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.


Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm


Primary Responsibilities


  • Work cooperatively with all employees.

  • Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs.

  • Consistently at work and on time.

  • Following company handbook policy and companies cell phone policy.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.

  • Must be able to retain information and show continued progression towards Deburr technician II.


Deburr Technician I responsibilities


  • Collaborate and communicate effectively.

  • Basic blueprint reading and identifying surface finish and edge breaks requirement.

  • Identify part handling defects and elevate appropriately.

  • Communicate with operators and give feedback.

  • Capable of using a wide range of deburr tools.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements


  • High School graduate or equivalent.


Work Environment


  • Noise: The machine shop can often be a loud environment with constant noise from equipment requiring mandatory hearing protection.

  • Safety hazards: Deburr Technicians can be exposed to inherent risks from powerful, high-speed equipment, including moving parts and sharp tools. Safety protocols are critical to prevent injuries.

  • Contaminants: The work involves exposure to airborne particles like metal dust, coolant mist, and chemical fumes, necessitating adequate ventilation and protective measures to minimize health risks when on the shop floor.

  • Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses and hearing protection on the shop floor.

  • Shift work: Must be flexible to work any of the following shifts: M-Th 5am-3:30pm, M-Th 3:15pm-1:45am, Fri-Sun 5am-6pm, and Fri-Sun 5pm-6am.


Physical Requirements


  • Sitting: Deburr Technicians spend long hours sitting in a chair using a microscope.

  • Lifting: The job can require lifting and moving heavy parts or raw materials. Some roles may involve moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds when on the shop floor.

  • Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills, steady hands and good hand-eye coordination are necessary.

  • Repetitive motion: Many tasks, such as loading and unloading workpieces, deburring parts, inspecting parts, are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.

  • Precision and vision: Must have excellent close-up vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors to accurately read blueprints, inspect finished products, and use measuring instruments.

  • Stamina: Physical stamina is required for the duration of a shift to perform all duties of the job.
