Job summary

Kearfott Corporation in Black Mountain, North Carolina is seeking a Deburr/ Machining Operator to remove burrs and sharp edges from precision components and to set up and operate machines in the Deburr department.

The role requires reading blueprints and operation sheets, strong shop math, and ability to use precision measuring instruments. A high school diploma is required, with 1 year of manufacturing experience and 1–3 years machining experience preferred. U.S. citizenship is expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year of hands-on manufacturing experience required; 1-3 years machining experience preferred.
• Must read blueprints and understand operation sheets.
• Working knowledge of shop math and use of precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from precision components using the full range of machine tools in the Deburr department.
• Set up and operate standard machine types to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets to ensure correct fabrication.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances and quality.
