Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Winsted, CT seeks a Deburring/Finish Machine Operator to remove burrs, create edge breaks, and buff oxidation on machined parts. You will use automated equipment or hand tools to ensure clean, accurate surfaces prior to welding and marking serials as needed.

Responsibilities include performing first-piece inspections, cleaning parts with water flow, power washers, or ultrasonic equipment, and supporting production as required.

Qualifications

• Remove burrs from machined surfaces using automated equipment and/or hand tools.
• Create edge breaks or radiuses on parts.
• Buff oxidation from parts prior to welding.
• Remove weld flush using hand tools or machinery.
• Mark serial and part numbers using hand tools or dot-peen marking equipment.
• Clean parts using water flow, power washers, or ultrasonic equipment.
• Perform first-piece inspections.
• Support production needs in other areas as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent deburring and finishing quality.
• Operate and monitor automated deburring equipment and hand tools.
• Assist with setup and inspection of finished parts.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards and work with team to meet production goals.
