Job summary

Meadow Gold, a DFA farmer-owned brand, is hiring Production Utility Workers to help maintain continuous production on the manufacturing line, including set-up, operation, and monitoring of equipment. This full-time role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and willingness to work a 7:00 PM–5:30 AM schedule, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must work in a fast-paced and wet environment; may have exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line.
• Ensure proper materials are used for each product.
• Complete documentation and quality checks; record production runs and downtime.
• Review charts and specifications in hard copy and electronic formats.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks on equipment; prepare for next run.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
• Maintain communication across departments and with supervisors about issues affecting production.

Compensation: Up to $23.26 to $27.37 additional wage increases based upon achieving specific competencies and Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Production Utility Workers perform job duties within the manufacturing environment to provide relief for planned (vacation, break) and unexpected absences to ensure the continual production of product. This is a regular, full-time position, working at least 40 hours a week.

Schedule: Sunday, Monday Wednesday, Thursday = 07:00PM to 05:30AM

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line
• Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced
• Complete all required documentation and quality checks
• Record and document all production runs, downtime, weights, code dates, and label verifications
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks on equipment in both manual and automated capacities
• Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
• Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
• Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
