University of Northern Colorado seeks a Dean for the College of Performing & Visual Arts to shape its distinctive artistic identity and steer strategic priorities. The role leads Schools of Art and Design, Music, and Theatre Arts & Dance, guiding academic quality and community impact.

The Dean will drive enrollment strategies, resource stewardship, and collaboration with faculty, staff, students, donors, and partners to advance UNC's mission across Colorado and the region.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in a field represented within or closely related to the disciplines of the college.
• Seven+ years of teaching, scholarship, and service at a level sufficient for professor at UNC.
• Progressively responsible academic leadership experience (e.g., dean, chair, director).
• Evidence of leadership in organizational change, enrollment strategy, financial stewardship, partnerships, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define and advance the college's distinctive academic and artistic identity and future role.
• Develop and execute a forward-looking strategy identifying investment, growth, partnerships, and consolidation needs.
• Advance accreditation, student success, and curricular innovation while maintaining standards.
• Lead faculty and staff development, evaluation, workload, and shared governance.
