Job summary

Colgate University invites applications for the Dean of Students, a senior, student-facing leader who partners with student government, clubs, fraternities and a diverse campus community to support thriving student life. The role requires a master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a closely related field (a doctoral degree is preferred).

It is a full-time, on-site position in New York, with a salary range of $150,000–$165,000 and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or closely related field is required.
• Doctoral degree is preferred and will be a meaningful differentiator among finalists.
• Experience leading student affairs with a focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and student success.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction for student life and partner with student government, organizations, and centers.
• Engage with a diverse campus community and respond thoughtfully to student needs.
• Collaborate with Vice President and Dean of the College to sustain Colgate’s distinctive student experience.
