Jersey College seeks a Nursing Dean to lead the nursing program across all tracks, ensuring excellence in curriculum and faculty performance. The role oversees budgeting, compliance, and strategic initiatives to advance nursing education and student success.

The Dean will chair management meetings, coordinate with clinical partners, manage workloads, and drive faculty development while upholding accreditation standards and program integrity.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Current license in State as a registered professional nurse.
  • 2+ years of working experience in the area of education.
  • Ability to maintain and report on student information and track record of achieving goals.
  • Exceptional student/customer service, listening, and teamwork skills.
  • An outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The Dean of Nursing position oversees the entire nursing curriculum and faculty.

Job Responsibilities
  • Faculty Oversight
  • Curriculum Implementation
  • Change Management
  • Staffing and Onboard of Faculty
  • Direct Authority for the Fiscal and Academic Administration of the Nursing Programs, when appointed as Program Administrator, Program Director or Nurse Administrator
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Jersey Colleges philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through classroom, clinical teaching, and service to Jersey College.
  • Oversee, manage and support financial operations of the nursing programs
  • Supervise clinical activities
  • Oversee instructional activities
  • Exams & Standardized Testing
  • Determine and assign appropriate faculty workload and coordinate schedules with Dean of Nursing
  • Initiate and manage faculty development
  • Participate in weekly management meetings and keep co-chairs and supervisors informed of student progress, faculty/student issues, educational changes, and any other issues that may require the attention of others
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
