Job summary

The University of West Alabama seeks a Dean of Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development to provide strategic leadership for non-credit and credential programs, workforce development, and partnerships across the region. Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education, workforce development, or related area.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and partnerships.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development.
• Lead planning, development, and evaluation of programs and services.
• Identify regional workforce needs and inform program development.
• Develop and strengthen partnerships with employers, agencies, and community partners.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs to connect programs to credentials or degrees where appropriate.
• Develop, manage, and assess programs, budgets, and staff.
• Seek grants, contracts, and sponsorships to advance priorities.
• Represent the university in regional workforce initiatives.
