Job summary

Seattle Central College seeks a Dean of Libraries, Learning Support, and Faculty Development in Instruction. The role provides strategic leadership for student instructional and support programs and professional development for all college employees.

The Dean directs the Libraries, Learning Support Network, and Faculty Development across multiple campuses. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, typically 9am–5pm, on-site, with responsibility for budgeting, policy development, and

Qualifications

• MLIS or related master’s degree required.
• Higher education leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success in change management, planning, and advocacy in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated ability to support antiracist strategies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise division staff, resources, programs, and services.
• Advocate for libraries, faculty development, and Learning Support Network.
• Oversee annual budgets, accreditation docs, and policy development.
• Collaborate across departments and districts to advance strategic priorities.
• Guide information literacy instruction and accessible online/hybrid offerings.
