Job summary

Anderson University and its South Carolina School of the Arts (SCSA) invite applications for a full-time, twelve-month Dean position. The Dean will provide visionary leadership to elevate SCSA as a premier professional conservatory within a Christian university, guiding curriculum development, accreditation, and strategic growth.

The ideal candidate will hold a doctorate, bring significant arts leadership in higher education, and demonstrate a track record in fundraising, enrollment

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in a field relevant to the arts.
• Credentials and professional activity qualify for Associate Professor or above.
• Significant arts leadership experience in higher education administration.
• Commitment to work collaboratively and integrate faith and learning.
• Experience with accreditation processes and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for the continued evolution of SCSA toward a professional conservatory of the arts.
• Lead development of a studio-intensive curriculum, faculty development, and accreditation oversight.
• Partner with Enrollment, Marketing, and Academic Leadership to advance enrollment and external relations.
