• Academic qualifications in a field with a terminal degree and an outstanding record commensurate with appointment as a full professor with tenure at an AAU institution.
• Understanding of research-intensive academic culture, including tenure, promotion, sponsored research, and faculty governance.
• Strong leadership and effective management in a large, complex organization with the ability to lead diverse units.
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate ideas into action with meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for COLA’s 21 departments and 30+ centers.
• Lead fundraising, external relations, and advocacy to support the College’s mission and priorities.
• Oversee budget and operations, ensuring accountability and data-informed decisions.
