Job summary

Sonic Automotive, Inc. in Richardson, TX (North Central Ford) is seeking a Dealership Lube Technician to perform lubrication services and basic vehicle checks in a fast-paced dealer environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass pre-employment checks, and a willingness to learn. ASE certification or automotive tech certificate is preferred, with opportunities for training and advancement within the Sonic Automotive family.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment checks (background, MVR, drug test).
• Authorized to work in the USA.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all lubrication services.
• Conduct thorough checks of the vehicle (battery, lights, tires) and refer needed repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Keep the customer’s car clean.
• Ensure all equipment, including lifts, is in proper working order.

Job Description

The Lubrication Technician will be responsible for lubricating cars in a quick, yet thorough manner, and for carrying out his responsibilities through coordination with the Production Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all lubrication services.
• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e., battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Advisor.
• Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• ASE Certification and/or automotive tech certificate.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Applicantmust be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and credit report.
