Job summary

Irwin Marine is seeking an experienced Dealership Controller to provide financial leadership and accounting oversight across our dealership locations in Laconia, NH. This hands-on role partners with the General Manager and operational leaders to drive accuracy, accountability, and sound business decisions.

This position is primarily based at our Laconia location, with periodic travel to other Irwin Marine locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably in a multi-location dealership, automotive, marine, powersports, retail, or similar environment.
• Experience leading month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, working capital, and operational accounting.
• Experience with floorplan financing and dealership accounting is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee monthly close for assigned dealership locations.
• Oversee inventory and floorplan accounting, ensuring reconciliation with GL and lender statements.
• Record boat transactions including sales, COGS, deposits, taxes, fees, and related receivables.
• Oversee service WIP, warranty receivables, and related revenue recognition.
• Manage cash, AR, AP, and intercompany activity and reconciliations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across regions.
