Job summary

Sonic Automotive seeks a Dealership Controller for Momentum BMW Mini/Southwest Land Rover. The role leads the accounting function, ensuring accurate records, internal controls, and timely financial statements within a high-volume dealership environment.

The ideal candidate has 5 years’ experience managing accounting in automotive dealerships and a degree in accounting or equivalent. We'll support your professional growth with competitive compensation and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Outstanding written, verbal and presentation-based communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, forecasting and budgeting skills.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting leadership to the dealership and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Recruit, supervise and develop dealership office staff.
• Audit balance sheets, schedules, and internal controls; report findings to Regional Controller.
• Assist operations with forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial statements and reconciliations.
• Maintain documentation of policies and procedures; ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support departments to drive revenue, control expenses and customer/associate satisfaction.
