Job summary

Hallmark Hyundai Birmingham is seeking a dealership housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning waiting areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces, along with restocking supplies and ensuring a professional appearance.

The role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, a valid driver's license, and physical stamina to lift heavy items. Prior cleaning experience is preferred, and flexibility is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment. How to handle them safely and understands a Safety Data Sheet.
• Valid drivers license.
• Good physical health and stamina.
• Prior experience as a commercial cleaner, custodian, or housekeeper is preferred. - 2 years
• Ability to stand, bend, walk, push, pull and lift heavy items over 35 pounds throughout their shift.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision and available to have a flexible shift.
• Attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain customer waiting areas, lounges, and reception areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout the day.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Clean glass doors, windows, and other visible surfaces.
• Dust desks, counters, furniture, and other common areas.
• Keep break rooms and employee common areas clean and organized.
• Refill restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Maintain cleanliness in service department offices and customer-facing areas.
• Clean and maintain employee areas, including locker rooms, when applicable.
• Monitor the dealership for cleanliness and address issues as they arise.
• Properly store cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards to management.
• Assist with additional cleaning duties as assigned.
• Maintain a professional appearance and help uphold the dealership’s customer service standards.
