Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is hosting a Dealer Training School at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Dealer in Training, you will gain table game dealer knowledge, develop math and technical skills, and start a career as a Table Games Dealer.

The program runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a $10.00 hourly pay and a pay-rate increase after completing training. Weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain a state gaming license.
• Ability to attend off-site training and receive training certificates.
• Mathematical skills to solve equations.
• Exceptional guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic understanding of the gaming industry.
• Learn how to shuffle and place cards.
• Learn how to cut gaming chips, exchange currency for chips, and identify chip denominations.
• Rack maintenance.
• Hand recognition.
• Payouts and odds for each game.
• Determine game rule winners and losers.
• Control the pace of the game.
• Develop proper game security skills.
• Protect the integrity of games through observation and procedures.
• Identify unusual play habits.

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hosting a Dealer Training School for individuals interested in becoming a Table Games Dealer at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Dealer Training School participant, you will gain table game dealer knowledge, develop math and technical skills, and learn how to start an exciting career as a Table Games Dealer.

The class will be Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. The class will start on October 29th and finish on December 10th. Payrate increase after completed paid training.

Pay $10.00 - $10.00 / hour

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods, up to 3 hours, and walk long distances
• Hand and finger dexterity
• Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs occasionally
• Ability to pass a color recognition test
