This is a field sales / business development role within a high-growth fintech company valued at $7.3B, offering solid career upside for professionals with auto finance backgrounds.
Compensation signals: The combination of a competitive base salary, uncapped commission, and stock options is above average for dealer development roles in regional auto finance. Comparable territory manager roles at captive finance companies or banks typically pay $70K–$100K base; uncapped commission can meaningfully increase total compensation at a growth-stage fintech.
Green flags: Upgrade's rapid growth (7.5M customers, $42B in credit issued) signals real career trajectory. The role sits at the intersection of fintech and auto finance — a niche with growing demand as digital lenders expand into indirect channels. Forbes and Built In recognition suggests genuine investment in employee development.
Watch for: Field sales roles at fintechs can carry high performance pressure with aggressive monthly volume targets. The focus on Tier 3–5 credit segments means working with higher-risk borrowers, which adds complexity to deal structuring. Confirm whether territory quotas are realistic for the Las Vegas market before accepting.
