Job summary

RSM US LLP in San Francisco is seeking a Deal Services Consulting Associate who will work with middle-market clients on financial due diligence, buy-side and sell-side assignments, and working capital analysis. You will join a collaborative team and contribute to multi-engagement projects across industries.

You will collaborate with tax, audit and other advisory teams, with rotation to Audit in the first two years. Travel up to 20-30% is expected as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) required; Accounting major preferred.
• Minimum GPA 3.5 preferred; travel up to 20–30% locally and nationally.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial due diligence for client acquisitions as part of a team.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses to evaluate acquisition decisions.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits with senior management.
• Interact with tax, audit and other advisory practices.
• Represent the firm in community activities and professional associations.
• TAS associates will rotate to Audit in the first 2 years on the team.

Deal Services Consulting Associate

Position Description

At RSM, associates work with large and small companies in various industries. They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. Associates work on multiple team engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment- not just one part. As an Associate in the Deal Services Consulting Services practice, you will work closely with the other team members to provide financial due diligence of middle-market US and international businesses. The Deal Services practice offers our clients assistance with M&A activities, buy-side due diligence, sell-side due diligence, and working capital assistance.

Examples of the candidate's responsibilities include:

• Perform (as part of a team) financial due diligence for clients who are acquiring businesses
• Prepares detailed financial analysis to help clients evaluate their acquisition decisions and financing requirements
• Participates in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management to obtain pertinent information for financial analysis
• Interacts with the other functional areas of the practice including tax, audit and other consulting practices
• Represents the firm in community activities and professional association
• TAS associates will rotate to Audit in their first 2 years on the team from January - April

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university by the time employment commences
• Accounting major
• Travel is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations
• Ability to travel up to 20-30% locally and nationally
• A minimum 3.5 GPA is preferred
