Job description

About Vasion

For more than a decade, Vasion has been helping companies simplify their print infrastructure, automate business processes, and integrate their technology in a more secure environment. Our mission, to make digital transformation attainable for everyone, drives a culture of innovation and exploration. We have one simple goal: help organizations simplify processes through automation and integration.

So we created simple, cost-effective, and easy-to-implement digital tools that work together, removing bottlenecks and improving efficiency. And we’re always on the lookout for new people who can help us innovate, grow, and reach our goal.

About The Role

The Deal Desk & Pricing Analyst owns how Vasion quotes and prices its business. This position is responsible for designing and administering the CPQ quoting process, including product and bundle structure, price rules, discount schedules, and approval matrices, and for the design and governance of the pricing workbooks that source list price, uplift, and partner and government discount structures across currencies. The Analyst defines the approval levels, thresholds, and service levels that govern how a quote moves from request to signature, reviews and approves quotes against them, and partners with sales, finance, legal, and channel teams to structure complex and non-standard deals. This position owns recurring reporting on quote cycle time, approval turnaround, and discount trends, and leads the review of that reporting with stakeholders. The Analyst also assists with the delivery of license files, distribution of purchase orders, and intake of incoming cases, contributing to the standardization and automation of those workflows over time, and represents quoting and pricing requirements in adjacent revenue processes such as RFP and RFI responses and new product and pricing launches.

What You'll Do

CPQ & Quoting Process Design

  • Own the design and configuration of the CPQ quoting process, including product and bundle structure, price rules, discount schedules, approval matrices, and quote templates.
  • Define and maintain approval levels, delegated authority thresholds, escalation paths, and service levels for quote turnaround and approval response.
  • Maintain multi-currency price book structure and validate that price derivation, discounting, and approval logic behave correctly in each transacting currency.
  • Diagnose and resolve pricing and quoting defects to root cause, and partner with GTM Systems on build, testing, and release of larger changes.

Pricing Workbook Design & Governance

  • Own the design and governance of Vasion's pricing workbooks; covering list price, volume tiers, partner discounts, and government schedules.
  • Maintain currency-specific price lists, including conversion basis, rounding conventions, and review cadence.
  • Serve as the control point for pricing changes: intake, impact modeling, approval routing, and consistent reflection across the workbook, CPQ, and any published price list.
  • Reconcile workbooks against system-derived prices on a recurring cadence, and maintain version control and an auditable history of changes.

Deal Structuring & Quote Review

  • Review and approve quotes for pricing accuracy, policy compliance, and structural executability; act as escalation point for non-standard requests.
  • Advise Account Executives on complex deal construction, including multi-product configurations, co-termination, ramped and multi-year structures, and channel or public sector transactions.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal on pricing and contractual issues, and flag terms that create billing, revenue recognition, or fulfillment risk before signature.

Quoting Reporting & Performance Review

  • Own recurring reporting on quote cycle time, approval turnaround, exception volume, discount distribution, and realized versus list price.
  • Lead the review of that reporting with sales and finance stakeholders, framing what should change as a result.
  • Surface pricing and discounting patterns that warrant a policy or guardrail change, and support the analysis behind those decisions.

Cross-Functional & Operational Support

  • Represent quoting and pricing requirements in adjacent revenue processes, including RFP and RFI responses, contract vehicles, and renewal and expansion motions.
  • Own the pricing and commercial-terms content used in RFP and bid responses, and support new product and pricing launches by defining and validating quoting requirements.
  • Assist with license file delivery, purchase order distribution, and case intake, supporting accuracy and turnaround.
  • Help triage and route incoming deal desk cases, and resolve those requiring pricing or system judgment.

Enablement, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as the subject matter expert on quoting, pricing, and CPQ for the sales organization, and build enablement and training on quoting workflows and approval requirements.
  • Maintain process documentation, decision trees, and runbooks covering CPQ configuration, pricing governance, and deal desk policy.
  • Identify friction across the quote-to-cash workflow, propose prioritized improvements, and see approved changes through implementation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 to 5 years in deal desk, sales operations, revenue operations, or pricing, including hands-on work in a CPQ or quoting system
  • Experience configuring CPQ or quoting logic, including price rules, discount schedules, product structure, and approval routing, not solely using the system as an end user
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills, including the ability to build a maintainable, well-structured pricing model rather than a one-off file
  • Working knowledge of B2B SaaS pricing constructs, including subscription terms, uplifts, ramps, co-termination, volume tiers, and partner discounting
  • Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to trace a pricing or quoting error to root cause
  • Ability to explain pricing logic and policy rationale to sales and finance stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (Revenue Cloud / SBQQ), including price rules, price actions, and discount schedules
  • Experience owning pricing workbooks or price lists as a system of record, including multi-currency price lists and change governance
  • Experience with channel, distributor, or public sector pricing structures and contract vehicles
  • Exposure to reporting and analytics tooling such as Salesforce reporting, Snowflake, Domo, or Power BI
  • Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification
Benefits
  • Flexible work environment
  • Vacation Bonus
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Paid parental leave
  • Competitive pay
  • A full suite of traditional benefits
  • Training/Advancement opportunities
  • 401k with company match and immediate vesting
  • Financial wellness education
  • Company-contributed HSA
  • On-site perks include gym, pickleball, snacks & drinks, arcade, theater room, etc.
Our Core Values
  • Disruptive Visionaries: Our customers are the heroes, and our role is to be a guide on their journey, truly listening and identifying the needs and wants of our customers.
