PATHS Inc. in South Boston, VA seeks a Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care at PATHS Dental Clinic. You will diagnose, treat and manage patient care, supervise staff, and uphold clinical policies. This permanent, full-time role requires a DDS and Virginia license.

Qualifications

• DDS required; doctorate in dentistry.
• Minimum of one year experience in human/social services, preferably healthcare.
• Training in counseling, interviewing, service plan development, decision making, information and referral services preferred.
• Valid license to practice dentistry in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and comprehensive dentistry and supervise dental and clinical staff.
• Assist with development, implementation and monitoring of dental policies and procedures.
• Diagnose dental conditions and maintain accurate records for diagnosis/evaluation.
• Interpret x-rays and treat mouth diseases; provide restorations as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures to reduce pain and discuss treatment plans with patients.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and dental care.
• Assist with Dental Quality Assurance implementation.
• Train and evaluate assigned dental staff.
• Carry out other assignments by Dental director as necessary.
