Job summary

Verisign is seeking a skilled DDI Engineer to build, operate and maintain our Infoblox platform and related DNS/DHCP/IPAM services in a hybrid Reston environment. You will design and implement automation, monitoring, and runbooks to ensure platform health and security while collaborating across engineering teams.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience, strong scripting abilities (Python/Go), and a solid understanding of DNS protocols, ITIL/CMDB concepts, and enterprise architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Written and verbal communication skills – ability to clearly and succinctly describe complex issues.
• Experience deploying and operating a DDI platform from industry leading vendors in a production environment.
• Experience integrating multiple services with a DDI platform in an enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and maintain our Infoblox platform supporting our DDI initiative at Verisign.
• Implement and support monitoring pipelines for DDI platform health to support platform observability and availability.
• Automate DDI workflows for provisioning, cleanup and compliance enforcement.
• Troubleshoot complex DNS/DHCP/IPAM incidents, participate in root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Create and maintain documentation and runbooks for our first-line support teams.
• Ensure compliance with vulnerability management standards and information security standards.
• Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation for tier 3 support.
