Job summary

Goodfit is seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to design and deliver AI-powered proof-of-concepts in a fast-paced, research-driven environment. You will work with Large Language Models to build intelligent applications, craft prompts, and optimize function-calling logic for LLM systems.

You will also integrate external APIs, handle structured and unstructured data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building AI proof-of-concepts.
• Strong experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Prompt engineering and LLM function/tool calling.
• API integration and data handling (structured & unstructured).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Strong AI + Python with LangChain experience (Java experience acceptable).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver AI-powered proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes

• Work hands-on with Large Language Models (LLMs) to build intelligent applications

• Develop and optimize prompts, workflows, and function-calling logic for LLM-based systems

• Integrate external and internal APIs, handling both structured and unstructured data

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git-based development workflows

• Rapidly experiment, iterate, and validate AI solutions in a research-oriented environment

• Translate complex problems into practical AI-driven solutions

Must-Have Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience building working AI proof-of-concepts

• Strong experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Prompt engineering and LLM function/tool calling

• API integration and data handling (structured & unstructured)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices

• Strong AI + Python with Lang Chain experience (would be plus), with limited Java experience would be fine.

Nice-to-Have Technical Skills

• Experience building Agentic AI systems

• Experience with Conversational AI, chatbots, or summarization tools

• Hands-on experience with OpenAI or similar LLM platforms

• Familiarity with Streamlit, FastAPI, or Flask for building demos or UI tools

• Exposure to machine learning frameworks or AI cloud services
