Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Denver, CO, is offering a DCS Operations Internship for Summer 2027 under supervision to assist with transportation and logistics services.

You will gain exposure to planning freight, asset utilization, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis while supporting daily operations and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Junior or Senior level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including freight planning and asset utilization.
• Assist with safety management and DOT compliance.
• Support driver payroll and Customer Value Delivery activities.
• Contribute to logistics analysis and optimization.
• Learn industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention.
