Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. in Fort Payne, AL is seeking a detail‑oriented 1st shift Warehouse Associate to pick, sort, and move product within our distribution center. The role emphasizes safe, accurate work and reliable attendance while handling RF scanners and basic warehouse tasks.

You will support shipping and receiving, maintain inventory integrity, and collaborate with a team to meet daily goals. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations
• Operate RF scanners and labor management systems
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets and materials to maintain inventory integrity
• Maintain inventory accuracy, quality, and safety
• Communicate with team and support a team-oriented environment
• Keep workspace clean, organized, and safe
• Follow PPE and safety requirements

Schedule

1st Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands
• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, and performing repetitive movements (bending, twisting, reaching)
• Experience with, or readiness to learn, warehouse technology such as RF scanners
• Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations
• Perform daily tasks using RF scanners, and/or labor management systems
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety at all times while following all established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a team‑oriented work environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, participating in ongoing housekeeping efforts
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE when required
• Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs

Pay Range & Notes

• Pay Range: $15.00 - $34.66
• Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
• This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
• Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
